Claude: an AI 'game-changer' for business, design and the web?

Claude and Claude Design: how Anthropic's AI is changing things for businesses, designers and developers; its real limitations; and how to adopt it.

💡 TL;DR: Claude is a family of AI models developed by Anthropic, which writes, analyses, codes and, with Claude Design, creates mock-ups and prototypes. It speeds up the development of early versions, but it does not replace designers or developers: their role is shifting towards strategy, validation and accountability for the end result.

Just a few years ago, launching a digital project required a range of skills, specialised tools and a great deal of time. Creating a website, designing a user interface, developing an app or devising a marketing strategy involved going through just as many production stages.

Today, artificial intelligence is gradually changing this reality. Among the tools attracting attention is Claude. The real question, then, is not 'Is AI impressive?', but: Is Claude simply a new tool, or a genuine game-changer for businesses and the digital sector?

To answer this question, we need to look beyond the novelty factor and consider what this technology actually changes, its limitations, and the opportunities it opens up.

What is Claude, and what can it do?

Claude is a family of artificial intelligence models developed by Anthropic. It can write content, analyse documents, explore ideas, generate code and solve certain complex problems.

Its value extends beyond simply answering questions: it can support various stages of a project, from the initial planning phase through to the production of an initial outcome, and on to its refinement. Anthropic also offers dedicated tools, such as Claude Code for development.

What is Claude Design?

Claude Design is a product from Anthropic Labs launched on 17 April 2026, in research preview, for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise subscribers. It allows you to create designs, prototypes, presentations and one-page documents by describing what you want to Claude, then refining the result through conversation.

Two features are particularly useful for teams:

  • Implementing a team's design system : According to TechCrunch, the tool can analyse a company's codebase and design files to ensure that the results remain consistent with its visual style.

  • Passing the baton to development : once the design is complete, Claude can produce a transmission package which can then be handed over to Claude Code for implementation.

It therefore becomes possible to turn an idea into a working prototype more quickly. But 'first draft' does not mean 'ready for publication' : Quality always depends on the stated requirement, the context provided, the choices made and the verification process. The product is evolving rapidly: check its status and access conditions before relying on it.

Why are companies so interested in Claude?

For a business, time, resources and the ability to deliver are crucial. AI can improve all three of these aspects by speeding up the early stages of a project.

Speed up production

Claude can assist teams with drafting content, preparing documents, analysing information or creating initial drafts of deliverables. Staff spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on strategic thinking, coordination and improving results.

Test more ideas

A company does not always have the resources to explore all its ideas. AI makes it easier to create drafts, variations and prototypes: a team can compare several approaches before deciding which one warrants a greater investment.

To make it easier to access certain skills

An entrepreneur without technical training can use AI to develop an idea, understand a programming concept or create a prototype. This lowers certain barriers to entry, without eliminating the need for specialist skills once the project becomes complex.

The real benefit, therefore, is not just about producing things more quickly: it is about being able to explore, test and learn more effectively.

Will Claude replace the designers?

No: it moves their value; it does not delete it.

With tools capable of producing mock-ups, interfaces and prototypes, part of the design process becomes more accessible. An entrepreneur can describe an idea and obtain an initial visual proposal without needing to be proficient in design software. A designer can explore several creative avenues before choosing and refining the best approach.

But designing an interface is about more than just putting visual elements together. A good designer understands the brand identity, user expectations, business objectives, information hierarchy and usability constraints. An interface can be aesthetically pleasing yet difficult to use. A visual design can be attractive without conveying the brand's positioning.

AI generates solutions, but it does not guarantee the relevance of every decision. The designer's role is therefore shifting towards greater creative direction, strategic thinking, validation and differentiation.

The question is not whether AI can produce a design. It is whether that design actually solves the client's problem.

Does this also apply to developers?

Yes, but they still play a key role. AI tools help with writing code, explaining errors, generating tests, documenting features and speeding up programming tasks. This enables faster prototyping and allows developers to explore solutions that would otherwise have required more manual work.

However, generating code does not equate to delivering a reliable product. According to Veracode's 2025 report, which tested over 100 models across 80 programming tasks, AI-generated code introduced a known security flaw in 45 per cent of cases. A 2026 update shows a comparable figure (around 44 per cent). It is important to note that these tests were conducted without explicit security guidelines, reflecting the models' default behaviour rather than their full potential.

A professional website must meet a number of requirements:

  • data and user security;

  • performance and loading speed;

  • compatibility between devices and browsers;

  • accessibility and the quality of the user experience;

  • maintenance, updates and error handling.

Code that works in a demonstration may still contain errors, vulnerabilities or performance issues. The developer therefore continues to play a vital role in architecture, verification, integration and maintenance. As tools advance, the developer's role is shifting: less time is spent on certain programming tasks, and more on problem-solving, system design and quality assurance.

Where value shifts: the example of two entrepreneurs

Let's imagine two entrepreneurs who want to set up an online shop.

The first one uses AI to quickly generate an interface, a few product descriptions and a home page.

The second step involves studying customers, defining the company's positioning, structuring its offering and considering the customer journey. The company then uses AI to speed up production, before checking every element prior to launch.

Both use the same technology, yet their results can be very different. Because The tool is no substitute for the quality of thought that guides its use.

As production becomes more accessible, differentiation depends increasingly on an understanding of the market, the relevance of the choices made, brand consistency and the ability to meet customers' expectations. Value does not disappear: it shifts towards skills that are more difficult to automate, such as judgement, strategy, applied creativity, human understanding and accountability for results.

What are Claude's limitations when it comes to a professional project?

Claude is not a foolproof solution.

  • Results to be verified. AI may produce incorrect information, flawed reasoning or code containing errors. Please check any important details before using it for professional purposes.

  • Please provide some background information. A tool does not automatically know your company's objectives, the specific characteristics of your customers or the constraints of your market. The quality of the result depends on the accuracy of the context provided.

  • A brand identity that is more than just a tagline. Creating an aesthetically pleasing design is one thing; building a coherent and recognisable identity is quite another. A strong brand requires careful consideration of its positioning, its target audience, its message and what sets it apart.

  • Security and privacy. Define the data you share with AI tools, the permissions granted and the rules that apply to your sensitive information.

AI is a valuable tool, provided it is accompanied by robust monitoring mechanisms and responsible decision-making.

How can Claude be integrated into a company?

There's no need to overhaul the whole organisation overnight. Take it step by step:

  1. Identify a specific problem : reducing the time spent on drafting, preparing prototypes, organising information, improving an internal process.

  2. Testing AI on a specific task, with a measurable objective, rather than incorporating it everywhere without a strategy.

  3. Assess the result : Does it save enough time? Is the quality satisfactory? Are a lot of corrections needed? Is the process actually more efficient?

  4. Maintaining human control : Important decisions, checks and ultimate responsibility must remain clearly assigned.

Professionals would also be well advised to develop an additional skill: knowing how to formulate a problem, provide relevant context, evaluate a response and transform an AI output into a genuinely useful solution.

Our experience at Be To Solutions

At Be To Solutions, we see AI as a means of rethinking how we design and develop digital projects, whilst keeping strategy, user experience and business objectives at the heart of our decision-making.

A practical example: our own website. To build the B2S website, we used Claude as a co-pilot, alongside Framer, and the site was live within 7 days. Claude helped us structure the site map (home, services, about, blog), explore various title options and generate component variations, which sped up each iteration cycle.

However, he did not define our brand direction: the decision to adopt an 'editorial, not corporate' approach had already been made by the team. Nor did he decide which title would resonate with our audience: we were the ones who made that call. Finally, the last 20 per cent (spacing, consistency of details, display on each screen) took just as long as everything else.

The finishing touches: spacing, consistency, responsiveness

Our takeaway: AI speeds up the exploration process, but quality comes from human guidance and the finishing touches. As a guide, a professional website comprising 5 to 15 pages generally requires 4 to 8 weeks, according to Elementor. A fair point: our internal website didn't have any clients to approve, which inevitably shortened the turnaround time.

Conclusion: a game-changer or just another tool?

Claude represents a significant step forward in the way individuals and businesses can create, experiment and solve certain problems. For designers, it speeds up creative exploration. For developers, it simplifies certain stages of programming. For entrepreneurs, it makes tasks that previously required more resources more accessible.

However, it would be premature to claim that these jobs will simply disappear. The actual impact will depend on the capabilities of the tools, the extent to which they are adopted, the nature of the tasks involved, and the ability of professionals to adapt.

The real issue is not who will be replaced by AI. It is understanding which skills become more valuable as production becomes more accessible. For businesses, the priority remains the same: to create relevant solutions, meet customers' needs and build a sustainable business. AI can help with this. It does not replace the need to know where we want to go.
